Health Guarantee
"Nurturing Your Puppy and Yourself!"
☆ Health Guarantee ☆
“We’ve recently implemented a new guarantee to assure our commitment to the health and well-being of our Labrador puppies. While we understand that not all defects can be entirely prevented, we diligently conduct testing to minimize any occurrences. As part of our care protocol, dew claws are removed at 3 days old, and puppies receive vaccinations at 5 weeks and 7 weeks, along with regular worming every 2 weeks.
Our 24-month genetic health guarantee specifically covers life-threatening genetic disorders, ensuring peace of mind for our customers. This guarantee extends to a replacement puppy if such conditions arise. Please note that the guarantee’s terms, particularly regarding Canine Hip Dysplasia (CHD), are outlined separately. Additionally, to validate the guarantee, it’s essential for the puppy to undergo a veterinary examination within 3 business days of receipt.”

“Hip dysplasia (CHD) and other joint issues can stem from both genetic predisposition and environmental factors. Research indicates that CHD is influenced equally by genetics and the environment. Therefore, while we strive to minimize genetic risks through our breeding practices, we cannot provide a guarantee against dysplasia resulting from non-genetic factors. Additionally, we don’t guarantee any specific Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) rating for your dog.
In the rare instance that a Dawson Labrador Retriever puppy exhibits signs of mild dysplasia within the first two years of life due to genetic factors, and if the puppy experiences severe discomfort hindering normal mobility, specific procedures must be followed to maintain eligibility under the guarantee.”
- I require that “Marc & Kayla Labradors” be used as a prefix or suffix in your puppies AKC name.
- Your puppy must also be registered by 4 months of age.
- The puppy must have a preliminary OFA exam on the hips before 15 months old, and the results sent to us before 18 months of age. The dog must then obtain a final OFA rating at 24 months. We must be notified within fifteen days of a final diagnosis of mild hip dysplasia.
- PUP MUST BE MAINTAINED ON THE NUVET VITAMINS & ordered using my breeder’s code (79652) to keep your health guarantee in FULL FORCE.
“Many breeders now require this because a significant number of dogs and cats aren’t receiving the complete, nutritious diet they need, leading to premature illness and death.Marc & Kayla Labradors aims to enhance your pet’s longevity and overall well-being. Their supplements are rich in cancer-fighting vitamins, beneficial for skin allergies, and promote healthy coats. They also bolster the immune system and enhance the quality of life for older dogs suffering from arthritis. These supplements, costing only 20-30 cents a day, can be given as treats.
If these supplement requirements are consistently met and your dog experiences a life-threatening genetic disorder, we offer a replacement puppy from our upcoming litters. The new owner would only need to cover the shipping costs if necessary. It’s important to note thatMarc & Kayla Labradors are not liable for any veterinary bills incurred for treatment at any time.”
